We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our busy podiatry office. This role is essential in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and assisting with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Willing to train right individual. Must be available to work some evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, optimizing the provider’s schedule.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and route calls appropriately.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the system.
- Assist with medical billing and coding as needed.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure a clean and organized reception area.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in medical administration is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and medical office software.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
